It feels like I've abandoned my blog even though I posted 2 weeks ago!
Last Sunday I had a family day and we all drove up to Glass House Mountains and planned the week before to go on a little hike.. Little did we know that we ended up planning on the day to climb Mt Tibrogargen. I've heard many things about it and I did do a little research that morning and hell, it looked fun but scary! We arrived and had a mass picnic before we headed into the hike trail. The beginning of the trail was a good walk that broke off lots of sweat. The weather that day was amazing too! Couldn't pick any other perfect time to go. We reached the bottom of the steep climb to the top of Mt Tibrogargen and left K and Dad to just chill at the small lookout below the climb and we headed up. It was an extremely challenging and scary climb must I say.. It took us over an hour to climb up and over and hour to climb back down and I could say both was equally hard because going up you're scared for slipping or letting go and falling back and going down you're scared of misplacing your foot and sliding all the way down!
After lots of determination to reach the top and pushing each other (myself and my two brothers) to keep going, we reached the top! The lookout was hard to find going through the last bit of bushes but the view was definitely worth every bruise, scratch, bug bits and every drop of sweat. We were lucky we met some experienced climbers on the way up AND on the way down to guide us. We would've had so much trouble by ourself. All in all, it was such a good experience and at the time I was saying to myself that I would NEVER EVER climb rocks/mountains ever again but thinking back about the fact that I did reach the top and the challenge it gave me.. I kind of really want to go back and do it again or try many more other climbs.
